On April 23, 2026 from 5:00-6:00 pm CT, the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign is hosting a two‑session virtual AI Insights Panel Series that aims to connect Grainger students with key industry practitioners and thought leaders who are shaping the future of AI‑enabled engineering work. Primary themes of the panel include: AI in Real Engineering Practice, Fundamentals and Foundation, Hiring & Skills, Growing in the Job and Leadership, Risk & Ethics.
UIUC is seeking an Argonne panelist for session 1 (AI and ML Technologies). Panelists will participate on Zoom with a live interactive student watch party via the Grainger College’s National Center for Supercomputing Applications Auditorium coordinated by Eng. Council student leaders and the Dean’s Student Advisory Group.
The ideal panelist would be a mid-level manager that can discuss technical research and skills/competencies needed in this area. Panelists would not need to prepare slides or formal remarks. Other organizations participating will be Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA, John Deere, Kearney.
