Envirothon is a natural resources-related competition for high school students. Students hear presentations and are tested on five different categories: aquatics, wildlife, soils, forestry and a revolving 5th category.
This year's 5th category is "Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future." The organizer is seeking a Renewable Energy presenter for Wednesday ,May 8th at the 4-H Camp in Monticello, IL.
This 20-minute presentation will be given to five different groups of students during the following time slots:
12:55 - 1:35
1:45 - 2:25
2:35 - 3:15
3:25 - 4:05
4:15 - 4:55
The presenters would like for the presentation to be based on the Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future study guide that is provided to students in the study materials of the IL Envirothon website. The 20-minute presentation will be followed by 20 minutes of testing provided by our organization, but we are also requesting the presenters to submit 10 practical questions, which are generally more interactive and hands-on. For example, the soils presenter usually has soil samples for the students to study and answer questions on.
